Created on 8 February 1944 to reward those whose inventions or initiatives significantly furthered the war effort. Known as the Dr Fritz Todt Prize it came in three classes - gold, silver and iron, and carried cash rewards of 50,000 Reichsmarks, 30,000 Reichsmarks and 10,000 Reichsmarks respectively.

This particular example is the gold version, the rarest to find, and it still retains most of its original gold finish! An insanely rare award! Marked "20" in the back for Zimmerman, a desirable maker.

Being the gold version, this would have been awarded personally by Hitler under the recommendation of a Gauleiter, the award ceremony included the Fuhrer in person handing the award to the recipient, making this even more special!

Condition 2.
